With all due respect to the Prince soundtrack album for this same movie, this is the one to have.:) Gorgeous and aptly grandeous orchestrated themes and imagery from Danny Elfman and a hi-fidelity LP master of it to do them justice.

 · Elfman uses every trick in his even then massive arsenal to create arguably one of his best scores. Nominated for an Academy Award and winning a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition (other than Jazz), BATMAN runs through a full range of moods and ultimately triumphs as a unique action-film score. Bringing along some of his tools from BEETLEJUICE, primarily to enhance The Joker’s sinister attitude, Elfman accentuates Tim Burton’s vision of a reluctant, tragic hero defending a /10(79).

 · Over 20 years later its the score that set the tone for Batman. Following the film a few years later Danny Elfman was asked to do the song intro for "Batman: The Animated Series" which echoed the film's main score. It is this film's score that "Lego: Batman" saw fit to use as their backdrop for game-play music/5().
